sooo you have a client who has hooded eyes and is unsure about lash extensions- you’re nervous! here are some key things i look at when lashing someone with hooded eyes ⬇️ - first things first: establish just HOW hooded your clients eyes are! depending on how much lid space you’re working with, it will give you a good guide line on the curl/length to use for your client. my client has more of a mono lid with moderate space between the lash line to the eyebrow. - stray AWAY from D & D+ curl! in most cases, clients with hooded eyes have more of a protruding lid space right before the eyebrow. most clients will complain that “their mascara transfers on their eyelid” or that they “can feel their lashes” when wearing mascara. using shorter lash lengths (ex. 7mm -11/12mm max) and a flatter curl such as B, C or CC curl will create the illusion of a dark lash line & an open, wider eye! - Cat eye mapping is not flattering! of course this all depends on your clients eye shape, but most of the time clients with hooded eyes have a slimmer eye shape! Cat eye mapping elongates the eyes which could make a client with hooded eyes appear even smaller. Try a kitten eye or natural sweep mapping! following these simple little steps makes lashing hooded eye clients a breeze!
